An extremum seeking approach to parameterised loop-shaping control design
An approach to loop-shaping feedback control design in the frequency domain via extremum seeking is proposed. Both plants and controllers are linear time-invariant systems of possibly infinite dimension. The controller is assumed to be dependent on a finite number of parameters. Discrete-time global extremum seeking algorithms are employed to minimise the difference between the desired loop shape

The West Palearctic species of Ctenophorinae (Diptera: Tipulidae): key, distribution and references.
An illustrated key is presented for the fifteen West Palearctic species and subspecies of the genera Ctenophora, Dictenidia, Phoroctenia and Tanyptera, with a review of their distribution and an overview of the recent literature for these taxa.
Classroom interaction engendered by different form-and-accuracy exercises with advanced students
Classroom interaction engendered by different form-and-accuracy exercises with advanced students This presentation focuses on the impact of two different kinds of form-and-accuracy grammar exercises on teacher-student classroom interaction with advanced Swedish-speaking L2 users of English. The purpose is to explore whether the exercises lead to a) the same amount and type of interaction, and b)

Structured time observation of human modelling tool users' activites
Most statements regarding human modeling tools efficiency are based on perceived time. No structured time observation of task activities performed by a simulation engineers working with the tools are previous performed. The aim of the study is to identify digital human modelling tool users’ activates and measure the time distribution of the activities. Furthermore, measured time distribution is co

Prospects and Limitations for Cross-Study Analyses – A Study on an Experiment Series
In software engineering research, experiments are conducted to evaluate new methods or techniques. The experimentation as such is beginning to mature, but little effort is spent on learning across different studies, except for a few meta-analyses. Meta-analysis can be applied to a set of experiments with the same design. This paper discusses learning across a set of experimental studies on fault d

Sampling of a system with a time delay
This paper deals with the problem of sampling a continuous-time system which contains a time delay. It is shown that the infinite-dimensional continuons-time system can be represented by a finite-dimensional sampled data system. It is shown that there are simple expressions for the sampled data state-space representations.
