Strax väster om centrala Ystad, intill Ystad Reningsverk, återfinns en deponi vars ursprung har spårats tillbaka till tidigt 1960-tal. Deponin beräknas vara cirka 11 250 kv. m och begränsas i sydlig riktning av Östersjön.
