Solvent-free enzymatic synthesis of fatty alkanolamides
An environmentally benign and volume efficient process for enzymatic production of alkanolamides is described. Immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B, Novozym (R) 435, was used to catalyze the condensation of lauric acid with monothanolamine.
