A two-stage mm-wave PA with 18.5% PAE in 65 nm CMOS

A two-stage mm-wave power amplifier (PA) is presented. Designed in a 65 nm CMOS process, the PA employs capacitive neutralization in each stage for increased differential isolation and gain. Baluns are used for single-ended input/output signal to balanced signal conversion, and the interstage matching consists of a 2:1 transformer. With a 1.2 V supply, at 67 GHz, measurements show a gain of 16.8 d

A Scalable Modularized Synthesis Method for Distributed Kalman Filters

This paper presents a scheme to construct distributed observers for a system consisting of agents interconnected in a graph structure. The scheme is an iterative procedure to improve the observers with respect to global performance. It is modular in the sense that each agent iterates using only local model information. As a consequence, the complexity of the scheme scales linearly with the size of

Family planning as individual rights and collective efforts – An analysis of discourses in international human rights law and Indonesian legislation

As is commonly known, the Indonesian national family planning programme, once celebrated for its success, now faces a number of challenges in the post-Soeharto context. One imminent issue is the programme’s conformity with international human rights standards with regard to sexual and reproductive rights, for which reason the current legislation (the 1992 Health Act and the 1992 Act on Development

Structural and Functional Studies of the Wilms' Tumour 1 Protein (WT1) in Interaction with Nucleic acids

The WT1 protein, a product of the Wilms’ tumour 1 gene (WT1) is a zinc finger transcription factor implicated in a number of cellular processes particularly involved in the development of the urogenital system. Mutations in this gene have been implicated in abnormal development of the urogenital system resulting in syndromes such as the Denys-Drash, WAGR and Frasier and in the childhood kidney mal

Segregation of Women in Public Space in Iran

As part of a systematic endeavor to Islamize the society, Iranian Islamic government has bestowed efforts to create gender-segregated public urban spaces. The gender segregation was formally enforced in public places such as schools, sport halls, swimming pools, transportation facilities, etc. in last three decades. The most recent effort of the government includes “women-only parks”, claimed to b
