Feasibility and Relevance of an Intervention with Systematic Screening as a Base for Individualized Rehabilitation in Breast Cancer Patients : A Pilot Trial of the ReScreen Randomized Controlled Trial

Background: A substantial proportion of women with breast cancer (BC) experience a wide range of long-term persistent and troublesome side effects related to the disease and its treatment. The ReScreen randomized controlled trial is conducted aiming to evaluate the effect of early screening of distress followed by individualized rehabilitation after primary BC treatment.Purpose: To examine recruit

Combined Experimental and Computational Study of the Mechanism of Acceptorless Alcohol Dehydrogenation by POCOP Iridium Pincer Complexes

Iridium pincer complexes of the type (POCOP)Ir (POCOP = 2,6-(tBu2PO)2C6H3) are very productive catalysts for dehydrogenation of secondary alcohols. To our surprise, we found that turnover frequencies demonstrated by (POCOP)IrH2 (IrH2) are higher in more dilute solutions of the catalyst, which triggered a mechanistic study of alcohol dehydrogenation by IrH2. Here, we provide strong evidence that ac

Compositions for reprogramming into dendritic cells type 2 competent for antigen presentation, methods and uses thereof

The present disclosure relates to compositions for reprogramming cells into conventional dendritic cells (cDC), particularly into cDC type 2 (hereinafter referred to as “cDC2” or “CD11b-positive dendritic cells”), methods and uses thereof. The present disclosure relates to the development of methods for making conventional dendritic cells with antigen presenting capacity from differentiated, multi

Compositions for reprogramming cells into plasmacytoid dendritic cells or interferon producing cells, methods and uses thereof

The present disclosure relates to compositions, constructs and vectors for reprogramming cells into plasmacytoid dendritic cells or interferon type I-producing cells, methods and uses thereof. The present disclosure relates to the development of methods for making plasmacytoid dendritic cells or interferon type I-producing cells that promote antiviral and anti-tumoral immune responses from differe

Compositions for reprogramming cells into dendritic cells or antigen presenting cells, methods and uses thereof.

The present disclosure relates to compositions, nucleic acid constructs, methods and kits thereof for cell induction or reprogramming cells to the dendritic cell state or antigen presenting cell state, based, in part, on the surprisingly effect described herein of novel use and combinations of transcription factors that permit induction or reprogramming of differentiated or undifferentiated cells

An Annual Index of Irish Industrial Production, 1800-1913

We assemble the Irish industrial data currently available for the years 1800-1921, the period during which the entire island was in a political Union with Great Britain, and construct an annual index of Irish industrial output for 1800-1913. We also construct a new industrial price index. Irish industrial output grew by an average of 1.3 per cent per annum between 1800 and the outbreak of the Firs

Method for Programming Differentiated Cells into Hematopoietic Stem Cells

The disclosure relates to the development of methods for making hematopoietic stem cells from differentiated cells by introducing and expressing transcription factors. More particularly, the disclosure provides methods for redirecting differentiated cells to a hematopoietic stem cell state or to a hemogenic endothelial cell state by direct programming with specific combinations of transcription fa

A FAITH FOR THE FUTURE : WHY NON-DOXASTIC TRADITIONAL RELIGION IS THE PREFERABLE FORM OF EVOLUTIONARY RELIGION

In the philosophy of J. L. Schellenberg, “evolutionary religion” is a religious stance oriented towards the deep future. According to Schellenberg, the best form of evolutionary religion is non-doxastic faith in ultimism. I reject Schellenberg’s arguments for preferring ultimism and suggest that committing non-doxastically to traditional religion makes more sense from an evolutionary perspective.

The 'Allegiance' Test : Judicial Legislation and Interpretation of GCIV

The article critically addresses the 'allegiance' test developed by International Criminal Jurisdictions for the determination of protected personal status under the Fourth Geneva Convention. Through a deconstruction of its elements and the methodology employed in its creation, the author shows substantial and methodological flaws that showcase the test as highly questionable example of judicial l

hnRNP G/RBMX enhances HPV16 E2 mRNA splicing through a novel splicing enhancer and inhibits production of spliced E7 oncogene mRNAs

Human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) E2 is an essential HPV16 protein. We have investigated how HPV16 E2 expression is regulated and have identifed a splicing enhancer that is required for production of HPV16 E2 mRNAs. This uridine-less splicing enhancer sequence (ACGAGGACGAGGACAAGGA) contains 84% adenosine and guanosine and 16% cytosine and consists of three 'AC(A/G)AGG'-repeats. Mutational inact

Aspirin for Primary Stroke Prevention; : Evidence for a Differential Effect in Men and Women

Background: The use of aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular events in men and women remains controversial. Our study aimed to investigate the role of aspirin in primary stroke prevention in men and women and the effect of aspirin on risk of ischemic stroke in patients with covert cerebral small vessel disease (ccSVD).Methods: We performed systematic searches of the PubMed, and Cochrane

Temporal Aspects in Museum and Library Professionals’ Work in the Context of Acceleration of Social Time

This article explores how the acceleration of social time shapes the everyday work of museum and library professionals in Estonia and Sweden. Informed by theories on social acceleration and principles of constructivist grounded theory, 34 semi-structured in-depth interviews were carried out. The ‘symptoms’ of the acceleration of social time create several temporal tensions in organizations, theref

Diversity of Cytochrome c Oxidase Assembly Proteins in Bacteria

Cytochrome c oxidase in animals, plants and many aerobic bacteria functions as the terminal enzyme of the respiratory chain where it reduces molecular oxygen to form water in a reaction coupled to energy conservation. The three-subunit core of the enzyme is conserved, whereas several proteins identified to function in the biosynthesis of the common family A1 cytochrome c oxidase show diversity in

Transforming and Financing Intermediate-Level Technical Education During Industrialisation : Sweden 1850-1920

Around 1900, Sweden had transformed into a modern industrial nation. A three-level technical school system, introduced in the 1850s, ensured that Sweden maintained a strong position among other industrialised countries. In this article, we study changes in the structure and financing of the technical secondary schools, the middle level of the system, between 1850 and 1919. Both local and national

Animal Teeth and Mesolithic Society

In several graves from the Mesolithic sites of Skateholm, South Sweden, animal teeth were found. Some of these teeth were used as beads in clothing. The strontium isotope analysis of 11 animal teeth is reported and discussed in comparison with human values from burials at the sites and baseline values from South Sweden. Roughly half of the animal teeth are nonlocal and from different places of ori
