Characterising Stability Implying Properties that are Preserved under Feedback

The passivity approach to the design of large networks is based on preserving the passivity property under different types of interconnection: parallel and negative feedback. Since the passivity property implies stability, this allows large and topologically complex networks to be constructed on the basis of simple local rules without the need for global stability analysis. In this paper we charac

Performance tradeoffs of dynamically controlled grid-connected inverters in low inertia power systems

Implementing frequency response using grid-connected inverters is one of the popular proposed alternatives to mitigate the dynamic degradation experienced in low inertia power systems. However, such solution faces several challenges as inverters do not intrinsically possess the natural response to power fluctuations that synchronous generators have. Thus, to synthetically generate this response, i

A Loopshaping approach to Controller Design in Networks of Linear Systems

A method for designing a set of controllers to robustly stabilise a network of linear systems is presented. The method allows the design of each controller to be posed as a loopshaping problem. Critically each loopshaping problem requires only local knowledge of the overall system model to formulate, and may be solved separately. Furthermore the approach is inherently scalable, as any local change

Lunglav Lobaria pulmonaria i sydöstra Sverige

Select, Display, and Sell : Curation practices in the bookshop

Bookstores are one of the most visible places for books in the public space. No bookstore can ever offer every book available; rather it is in its selection that each bookstore is unique. Value, writes Michael Bhaskar in Curation (2016), no longer resides in access, but in curation – in selecting and arranging. First Person Readings of MAN : On semantic and pragmatic restrictions on an impersonal pronoun

Cinque (1988) notices that Italian impersonal si can be interpreted so as to include the speaker and that such a reading is actually mandatory in certain contexts. A similar conclusion holds for impersonal man in a language such as Swedish, with the difference that, in the relevant contexts, man takes on the reading of 1st person singular, hence ‘I’ and not ‘we’. In this paper, I argue that Cinque

Qigong and exercise therapy in patients with long-term neck pain : a prospective randomized trial

STUDY DESIGN: A randomized, controlled, multicenter trial: 1-year follow-up.OBJECTIVE: To compare the effectiveness of qigong and exercise therapy in subjects with long-term nonspecific neck pain.SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: The evidence for the benefit of treatment programs focusing on persons with long-term, nonspecific neck pain is conflicting. Several studies have shown support for exercise the

Exploring the collaborative toolbox for the public transport sector – guidelines and living labs as informal methods for achieving efficient collaboration

The purpose of the paper is to analyse informal collaboration in the public transport sector. Two Swedish case studies Living lab Uddevalla and Guidelines for Regional BRT are analysed and compared concerning what kind of learning occurred and what lessons regarding informal collaboration to draw from the two cases. For both cases the analysis indicates that individual, single loop learning is the
