Spherical Vector Wave Expansion of Gaussian Electromagnetic Fields for Antenna-Channel Interaction Analysis

In this paper we introduce an approach to analyze the interaction between antennas and the propagation channel. We study both the antennas and the propagation channel by means of the spherical vector wave mode expansion of the electromagnetic field. Then we use the expansion coefficients to study some properties of general antennas in those fields by means of the antenna scattering matrix. The foc

Observation Methods and Imaging Techniques. Assessments of physical exposure in repetitive work with focus on neck and upper extremities

Et andet formål var at øge kvaliteten af input data til brug i biomekaniske skuldermoObservation methods and imaging techniques - assessments of physical exposure in repetitive work with focus on neck and upper extremities The aim of this thesis was to develop, establish and validate observation methods for exposure assessments in epidemiological studies of repetitive work. A second aim was to increase the quality of input data for biomechanical shoulder models, by reliability an

Human prostatic acid phosphatase: cDNA cloning, gene mapping and protein sequence homology with lysosomal acid phosphatase

The cDNAs encoding human prostatic acid phosphatase were cloned and characterized. The mRNAs contain 3' noncoding regions of heterogeneous sizes 646, 1887 or 1913 nucleotides. A dimer and a monomer of the conserved Alu-repeats are present in the longer 3' noncoding sequences. The complete sequence of 354 amino acids for the mature enzyme was determined by sequencing both cDNA and protein. Human pr

Adaptive Resource Management Framework for Mobile Terminals---The ACTORS Approach

A resource management framework for media applications modelled as dataflow streams is described. The framework is aimed at multi-core applications and the main resource managed is the CPU time. The management is implemented using reservation-based scheduling in combination with optimization and feedback. Experiences of applying the framework to media applications are reported. A simulation model

Travelling Savage Spaces: Jean de Léry and the “Antarctic France”, Brazil 1555–60

The paper compares Jean de Léry's account of his experiences of the French colonization of the coast of Brazil in the mid 16th century with the account made by his contemporary André Thevet. Instead of focussing on how the native tribes were depicted in icolonial discourse or how they were treated in reality, this analysis brings to the fore how the description of space from the point of view of t
