An extremum seeking approach to parameterised loop-shaping control design

An approach to loop-shaping feedback control design in the frequency domain via extremum seeking is proposed. Both plants and controllers are linear time-invariant systems of possibly infinite dimension. The controller is assumed to be dependent on a finite number of parameters. Discrete-time global extremum seeking algorithms are employed to minimise the difference between the desired loop shape

Vattenomsättning i några svenska städer

The inner and outer water balance in six Swedish cities has been studied.Direct stormwater contribution to the combined system has beendetermined, as has drainage of soil and groundwater to this system.Diffuse runoff not being in the sewerage or stormwater systems has alsobeen determined. The leakage into the sewerage system is almost thesame in all cities. The diffuse runoff depends on climatic f

Measurement Setup for Impedance Tuning Unit Characterization

An Impedance Tuning Unit (ITU) has the ability to tune the impedance of for instance the antenna to better match another impedance. To effectively characterize a circuit containing an ITU, several functions in a measurement system need to be remotely controlled. In this paper such a measurement system is described. A line tune screw creates impedances for the ITU to match and a digital acquisition

Analysis of plasminogen-binding M proteins of Streptococcus pyogenes.

Group A streptococci are common human pathogens that cause a variety of infections. They express M proteins which are important cell wall-bound type-specific virulence factors. We have found that a set of strains, associated primarily with skin infections, express M proteins that bind plasminogen and plasmin with high affinity. The binding is mediated by a 13-amino-acid internal repeated sequence
