Q2 Evolution of the Neutron Spin Structure Moments using a He-3 Target

We have measured the spin structure functions g1 and g2 of 3He in a double-spin experiment by inclusively scattering polarized electrons at energies ranging from 0.862 to 5.058 GeV off a polarized 3He target at a 15.5° scattering angle. Excitation energies covered the resonance and the onset of the deep inelastic regions. We have determined for the first time the Q2 evolution of 1(Q2)=g1(x,Q2)dx,

Frequency-Domain Iterative Learning Control of a Marine Vibrator

To the purpose of marine seismic acquisition, new acoustic sources have been developed to reduce the environmental impact. The use of marine vibrators makes it possible to define emission frequency ranges, consequently allowing limitation of the frequencies that disturb marine animal life. Constructing marine vibrators with high efficiency and linear dynamics is however difficult, and the vibrator

Miniaturised Bioanalytical Chemistry in Acoustically Levitated Droplets

Popular Abstract in Swedish Analytisk kemi är den gren inom kemin där man studerar, utvecklar och använder metoder och tekniker för att undersöka olika ämnens kemiska innehåll och exakta sammansättning. Den analytiska kemin spelar en mycket central roll inom många vitt skilda vetenskapliga fält och utgör den grund på vilka alla kemiska analyser vilar – medicinska tester och studier, kvalitetskontrFuelled by the current demands of the biological sciences, there is today a growing interest in microscale analysis. Miniaturisation of analytical instruments has become a long-standing trend. Miniaturisation offers several advantages, including rapid separation times, high performance and throughput, reduced costs, etc. But the increased surface area to volume ratio can sometimes be a disadvantag

Observations of non-magnetic CP stars - Crossing boundaries

Abstract in UndeterminedObservations of chemically peculiar (CP) stars have been conducted for decades and have revealed a variety of spectrum anomalies, most prominent among them are line enhancements of heavy elements. The earlier observations were limited to the optical region and the use of less sensitive detectors, yet are responsible for much of our current characterization of the CP star ph

The co-evolution of human intersubjectivity, morality and language

The chapter argues that language, which rests on the sharing of linguistic norms, honest information, and moral norms, evolved through a co-evolutionary process with a pivotal role for intersubjectivity. Mainstream evolutionary models, based only on individual-level and gene-level selection, are argued to be incapable to account for such sharing of care, values and information, thus implying the n

Att skapa sin värld: människan speglad i äldre och nyare psykologi

The title refers to a subjectivistic theory on which this book is based. The theory presupposes that the psychological essence of a person is represented, not by reified traits, but by continuous series of adaptive pulses or perceptgeneses out of which reality is shaped. Eventually these pulses may acquire a typical p rofile or structure by way of which the person´s quintessence can ba captured. T
