Will Africa be part of the ‘golden decade’ of sustainable finance? : Insights from GSSS bonds

The inadequacy of public financing mechanisms for sustainable development andclimate action is increasingly evident. The focus has shifted towards private sector financing mechanisms to bridge these financing gaps. This study analyses the Green, Social, Sustainability and Sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds, considered as the quintessential private sector financing instruments and projected to lead

Städer, begrepp och perspektiv – ett ordnat kaos

This article is an investigation into towns, concepts and perspectives of towns. The concepts of urbanization, urbanism and urbanity all goes back to the Latin word urbs, thereby carrying a bias from Antiquity. Both present and past concepts demonstrate a range of expectations to certain settlements and a confusing use of language. Criteria reflect a choice of perspective and accessible sources. F

Contact allergy to fragrances. With a focus on hydroperoxides of linalool and hydroperoxides of limonene

Patch testing with fragrance allergens has been performed for over half a century, and the protocol has been continually developed and standardised. Fragrance mixes I and II and Myroxylon pereirae resin are commonly used as screening fragrance allergens in patch testing.During the past few decades, linalool and limonene hydroperoxides have emerged as contact allergens as a result of high rates of

Novel precision medicine approaches and treatment strategies in hematological malignancies

Genetic testing has been applied for decades in clinical routine diagnostics of hematological malignancies to improve disease (sub)classification, prognostication, patient management, and survival. In recent classifications of hematological malignancies, disease subtypes are defined by key recurrent genetic alterations detected by conventional methods (i.e., cytogenetics, fluorescence in situ hybr

Language at Stake in International Research Collaboration—Methodical Reflections on a Multi-Sited, Rapid Ethnographic Study

Based on experiences from multi-sited, rapid ethnographic fieldwork about age-friendly communities, the article aims at shedding light and reflecting on the encountered challenges and potentials regarding language and communication. Moreover, the aim is to contribute to enhancing researchers’ awareness of and preparedness to meet and address such challenges in future research endeavors. As English

Measurement of the tt¯ production cross-section in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 TeV with the ATLAS detector

The inclusive top-quark pair (tt¯) production cross-section σtt¯ is measured in proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy s = 5.02 TeV, using 257 pb−1 of data collected in 2017 by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. The tt¯ cross-section is measured in both the dilepton and single-lepton final states of the tt¯ system and then combined. The combination of the two measurements yields σtt¯=67

Regulation of T cells in Atherosclerosis

Atherosclerosis, the underlying pathology of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke, is characterized by chronic inflammation. T cells are present in atherosclerotic plaques and have been implicated in its pathogenesis. This thesis describes studies exploring both the regulation of T cells in atherosclerosis as well as immunomodulatory therapeutics. To study the

A low individualized GH dose in young patients with childhood onset GH deficiency normalized serum IGF-I without significant deterioration in glucose tolerance

OBJECTIVE: Many GH deficient (GHD) patients have impaired glucose tolerance and GH substitution in these patients has caused deleterious effects on glucose tolerance with hyperinsulinaemia. This further impairment of glucose tolerance might be due to an unphysiologically high dose of GH. Whether such a deterioration can be avoided by an optimal GH replacement dose is not known. In most previous st

CPUP – från reaktiv till preventiv behandling av cerebral pares : Framgångsrik utveckling med CPUP - kombinerat uppföljningsprogram och kvalitetsregister

CPUP is a combined follow-up program and national quality registry for cerebral palsy (CP). Since its inception in southern Sweden in 1994, CPUP has expanded geographically to cover all of Sweden, and similar programs are used in several northern European countries. Over 95% of all children with CP in Sweden, and a growing proportion of adults, are followed according to CPUP. The content of CPUP h

Prospective Comparison of Wound Complication Rates after Elective Open Peripheral Vascular Surgery - Endovascular Versus Open Vascular Surgeons

Background: Skill and experience of surgeons are likely to influence the incidence of surgical wound complications (SWC) after open lower limb revascularization. Differences in SWC between surgeons with predominantly endovascular or open vascular surgical profiles could be expected. The aim of this study was to compare SWC rates after elective open vascular surgery between primarily endovascular a

Healthcare resource utilization and device-aided therapy discussions with eligible patients across the Parkinson's disease continuum : Revelations from the MANAGE-PD validation cohort

Introduction: Device-aided therapy may improve the quality of life (QoL) for people with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) and poorly controlled symptoms with oral therapy. MANAGE-PD is a validated tool classifying patients based on symptom control and advanced treatment eligibility. This study focused on patient/caregiver reported outcomes and healthcare resource utilization among patients groupe
