Encapsulation of sugar beet phytoglobin BvPgb 1.2 and myoglobin in a lipid sponge phase system

Globins are usually associated with oxygen carriage in vertebrates. However, plants also contain similar heme-containing proteins, called phytoglobins (Pgbs). Unlike conventional hemoglobin, these proteins are often linked to nitric oxide metabolism, energy metabolism and redox maintenance under hypoxic and related abiotic and biotic stress conditions. Class I and II non-symbiotic Pgbs (nsPgbs) ha

Unravelling the structure and dynamics of lipid nanoparticles for biomolecule delivery

Encapsulation in self-assembled lipid structures has been shown to increase the stability of large biomolecules, including proteins and nucleic acids (NAs), which has many potential applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. In order to fully optimise the encapsulation system for a certain application, however, it is important to understand the effect of the encapsulated biomolecule o

Matts Leiderstam s art and researched-based work is closely related to the history of painting. He is systematically looking for alternative, queer, narratives relating to viewing a painting. Leiderstam explores the grid as a tool for the composition of images, which was developed during the Italian Renaissance. The grid has been central to image-making ever since, including for photography, and n

A Multilevel Circular Economy Repair Society Model: Understanding system-wide implications of normalized product repair from the perspective of the Product User

Initiatives to upscale repair activities are becoming increasingly common, with the latestbeing the EU commission’s proposal to strengthen consumers’ right to repair. However, theseinitiatives are not viewed comprehensively, particularly not for how they impact the product user’sexperience of the repair process, and what type of repair conditions would emerge once fullyimplemented. This gap exists

Let's meet: the communication dynamics of value propositions of convention bureaus

This study responds to calls for more knowledge regarding the dynamics of value propositions. The study develops knowledge about the communication dynamics of VPs by exploring the marketing communication of convention bureaus in post-COVID times. The data includes 120 marketing communication items from 12 Swedish convention bureaus. The data is analysed inductively using content analysis. Subseque

Grain Size-Dependent Thermal Expansion of Nanocrystalline Metals

In the present work, we have used classical molecular dynamics and quantum mechanical density functional theory modeling to investigate the grain size-dependent thermal expansion coefficient (CTE) of nanocrystalline Cu. We find that the CTE increases by up to 20% with a gradually decreasing grain size. This behavior emerges as a result of the increased population of occupied anti-bonding states an

Hitler’s National Socialist Democracy Concept 1919–1933

A conceptual study of Hitler's development of the National Socialist democracy concept between 1919 and 1933 is presented. Despite the voluminous literature on Hitler and Nazism, our knowledge of the NS democracy concept is seriously incomplete. This article makes a substantial historiographical contribution by providing a more profound understanding of Hitler's NS democracy concept and his positi

Racial Depictions in Visual Culture During World War One : A Transnational Comparative Study

How can we understand British depictions of the German ‘race’, if they are understood as belonging to the same racial category? We argue that an analysis of racial depictions must be based on historical and cultural understandings. We present ‘race’ as anall-encompassing, flexible historical phenomenon, that includes cultural racism. We found that cultural and biological racism overlapped, working
