Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL) is an indolent CD20+ lymphoma. Its scarcity has made clinical trials difficult and there is no consensus on first-line treatment. We conducted a population-based study of all patients diagnosed with NLPHL in Sweden between 2000 and 2014 (N = 158; 41 women and 117 men), focusing on clinical features, therapy and overall survival. The median fe

La2MgNi9-related alloys are superior metal hydride battery anodes as compared to the commercial AB5 alloys. Nd-substituted La2-yNdyMgNi9 intermetallics are of particular interest because of increased diffusion rate of hydrogen and thus improved performance at high discharge currents. The present work presents in operando characterization of the LaNdMgNi9 intermetallic as anode for the nickel metal

In this work, we studied cobalt nitride (Co-N) thin films deposited using a dc magnetron sputtering method at a substrate temperature (Ts) of 523 K. We find that independent of the reactive gas flow (RN2 ) used during sputtering, the phases of Co-N formed at this temperature seems to be identical having N at.% ∼ 5. This is contrary to Co-N phases formed at lower Ts. For example at Ts∼ 300 K, an ev

UNLABELLED: Vitamin D acts through the immature osteoblast to stimulate osteoclastogenesis. Transgenic elevation of VDR in mature osteoblasts was found to inhibit osteoclastogenesis associated with an altered OPG response. This inhibition was confined to cancellous bone. This study indicates that vitamin D-mediated osteoclastogenesis is regulated locally by OPG production in the mature osteoblast.

Osteoblast-osteoclast coordination is critical in the maintenance of skeletal integrity. The modulation of osteoclastogenesis by immature cells of the osteoblastic lineage is mediated through receptor activator of NF kappa B (RANK), its ligand RANKL, and osteoprotegerin (OPG), a natural decoy receptor for RANKL. Here, the expression of OPG and RANKL in primary mouse osteoblastic cultures was inves
