The Life of Severus by Zachariah of Mytilene

This biography of Severus, the patriarch of Antioch 521-518 AD, gives unique information about life in the Mediterranean region at the end of the 5th century. It is an important source for studies on Late Antiquity and the early History of CHristianity. In spite of the wealth of information that this text conveys, Zachariah's Life of Severus has not been available in English translation until now.

Sound transmission between infinite rooms; a modal approach and fe-formulation

A full description of the entire system room-wall-room in a theoretical model for sound insulation is still today too computation intensive, implying that the higher frequencies cannot be studied. Some simplifications must thus be introduced. The simplification proposed in the present paper is to replace the rooms with wave-guides, i.e. infinity long rooms. The model then reduces to the (more or l

Scheduling Tests for 3D Stacked Chips under Power Constraints

This paper addresses Test Application Time (TAT)reduction for core-based 3D Stacked ICs (SICs). Applyingtraditional test scheduling methods used for non-stacked chiptesting where the same test schedule is applied both at wafer testand at final test to SICs, leads to unnecessarily high TAT. This isbecause the final test of 3D-SICs includes the testing of all thestacked chips. A key challenge in 3D-
