Terpenoid Conidiation Factors in Penicillium cyclopium

Filamentous fungi produce asexual dispersive spores (conidia), when conditions are not suitable for apical extension growth. Conidiation (the process by which conidia produced) in genus Penicillium has attracted considerable interest because of its wide usage in different areas. In addition, several Penicillium species are pathogenic toward humans and plants, causing crop spoilage as well as decay

A descriptive study of lexical organisation in bilingual children with language impairment: Developmental changes

Purpose : This study aimed to describe the development of Arabic and Swedish lexical organisation in bilingual children with language impairment (BLI). Method : Lexical organisation was assessed through word associations in 10 BLI and 10 bilingual children with typical development (BTD), aged 6;2 – 8;0 years, matched for age and gender. The participants were assessed twice, with a 1-year interval.

Based on a survey of research concerning outcomes of sensitivity training and group relations conferences five pre-conditions for menaingful research on outcomes of group relations conferences are presented and discussed.

Affinity Precipitation of Proteins. Characterization of Some Underlying Mechanisms

För andra ändamål, t ex vid framTwo polymers, alginate and Eudragit S-100 were used as reversibly soluble-insoluble ligand carriers for the selective isolation of enzymes and lectins respectively. These two polymers have the inherent property of being precipitated under well defined conditions. Alginate was made insoluble by the addition of Ca2+ ions, and Eudragit S-100 by a pH shift. The polymers were modified with affinity lig

Intrinsic and Extrinsic Value

The distinction between intrinsic and extrinsic value has given rise to a batch of fundamental questions concerning the very nature, importance and coherence of our core value concepts. Section I outlines an approach to the distinction between intrinsic and extrinsic value that has taxonomical advantages. Recent work has alerted us to the fact that the traditional way of explicating extrinsic valu

Perception of Virtual Multi-sensory Objects : Some Musings on the Enactive Approach

In this paper we explore, by means of three pilot observational studies using virtual objects, how direct perception through action of multi-sensory audiovisual and haptic object properties support the creation of new categories of believable and plausible objects than can be perceived as being different from those that were presented The three experiments are based on variations of “Pebble boxes”
