Numerical experiments - a research method in fire science

Fires are complex and it is hard to derive relationships from theory in fire science. Full-scale and small-scale experiments have been used with great success in order to increase the understanding of fire chemistry and fire dynamics. But, there are shortcomings and difficulties with conducting these traditional fire experiments. In this thesis, numerical experiments are explored as a research met

Miljösimulering

Olika typer av miljösimulering behandlas under rubrikerna: Kartor; Jämförelser av (konventionella arkitektoniska) simuleringstekniker; Analoga (fotografiska) bilder; Digitaliserade (datoriserade) miljösimuleringar samt Fullskalesimuleringar.

Försvunna kyrkor i Göteborg

Genotype-Phenotype Correlations in Parkinson Disease

Mutations in four autosomal dominant (SNCA, LRRK2, VPS35, EIF4G1) and three recessive genes (PARK2, PINK1, PARK7/DJ1) are known to cause Parkinson disease (PD). This chapter describes the clinical and pathological phenotypes associated with mutations in these genes. We systematically reviewed the phenotypes associated with all known pathogenic mutations in the dominant genes. SNCA point mutations

The Scriptures and the LORD : Formation and Significance of the Christian Biblical Canon. A Study in Text, Ritual and Interpretation

This study explores the emergence of the Christian biblical canon and its significance for the early as well as for the contemporary church. Some major challenges to previous research on the biblical canon are presented. The apostolic formula "the Scriptures and the Lord" is defended as a good summary of the Christian canon, its formation and significance. It is argued that the canon was formed i

Automated selective caching for reference attribute grammars

Reference attribute grammars (RAGs) can be used to express semantics as super-imposed graphs on top of abstract syntax trees (ASTs). A RAG-based AST can be used as the in-memory model providing semantic information for software language tools such as compilers, refactoring tools, and meta- modeling tools. RAG performance is based on dynamic attribute evaluation with caching. Caching all attributes
