Arguing from Reception History for the Viability of Rational Reconstruction: A Case Study Involving The Reception of Cartesian Ethics in an Anglophone Context From 1650

I argue that Lisa Shapiro’s rational reconstruction of Descartes’s provisional moral code in terms of a broad conception of morality supplies us with an interpretative framework that make historiographical sense of the reception of Descartes’s moral philosophy in an Anglophone context on three occasions: the appeal to Descartes made by Henry More, Henry Sidgwick’s abrupt dismissal, and the ensuing

LU-CDM, A Conceptual Model of Desertification

This paper presents a generic system dynamic model to simulate and analyze a desertification system and its stability for different desertification syndromes. The study is one of many desertification related modelling approaches carried out by different project partners within the frames of DeSurvey (A Surveillance System for Assessing, Monitoring and Modelling Desertification; 2005-2010). DeSur

Mer eller mindre byråkratisk : En studie av organisationsförändringar inom Kronofogdemyndigheten

The Swedish Enforcement Authority carried through several organizational changes during this time. The authority was during 1997-2006 organized in ten independent authorities subordinated to the National Tax Board.

On the well-posedness of the Maxwell system for linear bianisotropic media

The time dependent Maxwell system is supplemented with the constitutive relations of linear bianisotropc media and is treated as a neutral integro-differential equation in a Hilbert space. By using the theory of abstract Volterra equations and strongly continuous semigroups we obtain general well-posedness results for the corresponding mathematical problem.

Traceability in fish supply chain - Evaulating two suppply chain mapping techniques

Purpose of this paper The paper describes and examines the information flow in three fish supply chains, when the package is treated as an information carrier. Included is an evaluation of two supply chain mapping techniques for examining the interfaces for the achievement of better traceability and by this supply chain and logistic efficiency. Design/methodology/approach The research is based on
