Peter Bengtsen talks at film premiere

On 21 September 2018, <link http: www.kultur.lu.se en person peterbengtsen external-link-new-window external link in new>Peter Bengtsen (Division of Art History and Visual Studies) gave a talk at Panora Arthouse Cinema in Malmö. The occassion was the premiere of Marco Proserpio's documentary film The Man Who Stole Banksy.
The talk focused on the artistic and monetary value of street artworks that have been removed from their original context with a view to sell. It problematised the status of such decontextualised objects as a works of art and pointed out that they generally have a weak position on the art market.
