Production of bio-based adipic acid using a combination of engineered Pseudomonas putida strains
Adipic acid is an industrially important dicarboxylic acid and an essential precursor in the synthesis of Nylon-6,6. Due to the environmental impact associated with the current synthetic methods for Nylon-6,6 production, greener alternatives based on renewable and bio-based feedstocks are needed. In the present study, the potential of two Pseudomonas putida strains engineered for muconic acid
