Epigenome-wide association study of DNA methylation in maternal blood leukocytes with BMI in pregnancy and gestational weight gain
Objectives: We aimed to discover CpG sites with differential DNA methylation in peripheral blood leukocytes associated with body mass index (BMI) in pregnancy and gestational weight gain (GWG) in women of European and South Asian ancestry. Furthermore, we aimed to investigate how the identified sites were associated with methylation quantitative trait loci, gene ontology, and cardiometabolic param

Ludiska lockelser : Spelen flyttar in i finrummen
Extended Hybridity in Ludo-Immersive Opera
How to construct and facilitate participatory and playful opera? Through this interdisciplinary artistic research project within the fields of music drama / opera and game studies, I seek to develop a framework for alternative and innovative opera concepts – based on immersion, relations and play. The term that I propose for this type of contemporary music theatre is ludo-immersive opera (related
Performing Creative Work in Public
This chapter addresses artistic research through the concept of co-costuming in public—a material-discursive practice between humans and more-than-human materialities with co-creational potentials. The chapter documents how co-costumed entanglements cultivate the wearers’ sociomaterial relation-spatial sensitivity towards each other as well as towards other humans and more-than-human materialities

Sustainable textile management and business practices among small scale fashion brands in Indonesia
The current fashion and textile industry is one of the largest contributors to climate change and environmental degradation. The industry uses toxic dyes and chemicals to cultivate, manufacturing and processing stages. It also creates emissions that end up as pollution, and waste that ends up as landfill, which damage the ecosystem and has detrimental impact on human health. The textile and fashio
Compass for investors: Legal guidance on foreign direct investment in Central Asian Countries

Ectomycorrhizal fungi are more sensitive to high soil nitrogen levels in forests exposed to nitrogen deposition
Ectomycorrhizal fungi are essential for nitrogen (N) cycling in many temperate forests and responsive to anthropogenic N addition, which generally decreases host carbon (C) allocation to the fungi. In the boreal region, however, ectomycorrhizal fungal biomass has been found to correlate positively with soil N availability. Still, responses to anthropogenic N input, for instance through atmospheric
The joint effects of genetic liability and the death of close relatives on risk for major depression and alcohol use disorder in a Swedish national sample
Background. To determine whether genetic risk factors for major depression (MD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) interact with a potent stressor – death of spouse, parent, and sibling – in predicting episodes of, respectively, MD and AUD. Methods. MD and AUD registrations were assessed from national Swedish registries. In individuals born in Sweden 1960–1970, we identified 7586, 388 459, and 34 370
Elective one-minute full brain multi-contrast MRI versus brain CT in pediatric patients : a prospective feasibility study
Background: Brain CT can be used to evaluate pediatric patients with suspicion of cerebral pathology when anesthetic and MRI resources are scarce. This study aimed to assess if pediatric patients referred for an elective brain CT could endure a diagnostic fast brain MRI without general anesthesia using a one-minute multi-contrast EPI-based sequence (EPIMix) with comparable diagnostic performance.
CONT - a Versatile and Adaptable Luminaire Designed for Longevity
The aim of this bachelor degree project is to design a modular luminaire with a longer lifespan, in order to reduce consumption. The project aims to explore how design can contribute to sustainable development by creating a durable and adaptable lighting solution. The luminaire is versatile and can either be hung from the ceiling, mounted on the wall, or placed on a table. It can be expanded
Diagnostic contribution of multi-frequency vibrometry to detection of peripheral neuropathy in type 1 diabetes mellitus compared with nerve conduction studies
Aim The aim was to assess the use of multi-frequency vibrometry (MFV) in detecting diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in type 1 diabetes in comparison to nerve conduction studies (NCS) and neurothesiometer (NT). Our objectives were to examine how VPTs correlated with NCS parameters, evaluate the efficacy of MFV in distinguishing DPN as well as to investigate whether MFV procedure could be based
