I am professor in English linguistics and "docent" in general linguistics. I have been working at Lund University in different capacities since August 2000.
I hold a Ph.D degree (1999) in theoretical linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. I also hold MA (1993) and BA (1992) degrees in English philology, with second-subject studies in Nordic philology, journalism and mass communication theory, social psychology, and psychology from the University of Tampere.
I supervise and teach courses at all levels. In addition to linguistics courses, I have developed and teach courses in academic writing and have an interest in sociolinguistics / language and gender topics. I have supervised over 200 degree projects (BA and MA theses or the equivalent) to completion.
I have done extensive pedagogical development work with both colleagues and doctoral students.
