A soft x- ray laser from Ni- like Mo, pumped in grazing incidence ( GRIP), is analyzed with regard to high repetition rate operation. Reliable lasing is obtained, but with significant energy fluctuations attributed mainly to beam pointing jitter from the pump laser.
