Sales and Operations Planning - Identifying and creating product families

Tourists’ expectations of their encounter with indigenous communities in the context of indigenous tourism: Western tourists’online reviews of OvaHimba cultural villages in Namibia

Indigenous tourism is a debated topic as the lifestyle and culture of indigenous groups are increasingly being promoted as tourist attractions, especially by tourism promotors targeting tourists in more developed countries.

Den aktuella studiens utgångspunkt har därför varit en nationell målsättning som vill minska pPackaging stands for the largest use of plastic today and increased recycling of plastic packaging must be urged to maintain our natural resources. Plastic packaging is essential in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, however the environmental impact of plastic packaging implies that the industry should take responsibility in this matter. The purpose of this study is to define which ac

Imagining a Revolutionary Iran: National Narratives in the Revolutionary Discourse of the Mojahedin-e Khalq

Skocpol’s States and Social Revolutions, first published in 1979, was a hugely influential book encapsulating what has become known as the “Third Generation” of theories of revolution. Predicting Exchange Rate Value-at-Risk and Expected Shortfall: A Neural Network Approach

On the basis of the recommendation of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision to transition from Value-at-Risk (VaR) to Expected Shortfall (ES) in determining market risk capital, this paper attempts to investigate whether a Recurrent Neural Network provides more accurate VaR and ES predictions of the EUR/USD exchange rate compared to the conventional GARCH(1,1) model. A number of previous stud

Detecting bark beetle damage with Sentinel-2 multi-temporal data in Sweden

The European spruce bark beetle is considered as one of the most destructive forest insects to Norway spruce trees in Europe. Climate change may increase the frequency and intensity of bark beetle outbreaks. It is therefore of vital importance to detect the bark beetle outbreaks and take it under control to prevent further damages. Remote sensing techniques may provide a cost-efficient solution to

Gene therapy treatment for Parkinson’s disease

Till en början är motorsymptomen lindriga men förvärras med tiden då fler doParkinson’s disease (PD) is the most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer’s disease and today more than 6 million people are living with PD world-wide (2018). PD is characterized by muscle stiffness, shaking at rest, and postural imbalance. The symptoms are caused by a decreased dopamine (DA) level in the brain due to a gradual loss of DA producing neurons. The cause and trigger of th

Emerging Principles in Obstetric Teamwork

There is widespread consensus that teamwork constitutes one of the key requirements in today’s multidisciplinary and highly complex system of delivering care.

Några av dom som återkommer högst i uPharmaceutical residues are becoming more appearing in aquatic systems and it is affecting aquatic organisms. A literature analysis was made to determine if biochar can adsorb pharmaceutical residues and if it is more effective than the already established filter material active carbon. This study shows that biochar has good promises to be able to act as a filter to adsorb pharmaceutical residues.
