My research centres on Swedish word accents as a technically tractable case for studying how lexical structure, contextual prediction, and brain dynamics interact in spoken-word processing. I integrate large-scale corpus data with information-theoretic measures and NLP-based semantic representations, linking these linguistic variables to neurophysiological signals. A central goal is to render abstract properties of the lexical prosody explicit, quantifiable, and directly testable in perception.
My methodological approach emphasises cross-level integration. I develop computational pipelines that align corpus-derived statistics and contextual models with single-trial neural analyses, including frequency-tagging and decision-level modelling. Through the technically driven and interdisciplinary framework, prosody is examined as part of a predictive, efficiency-oriented language system, grounded jointly in linguistic data, computational modelling, and cortical dynamics.
