Urszula Ulla Chowaniec is an associate professor of literature at Lund University, specializing in Polish language and literature, as well as Jewish women’s writing and Yiddish women’s literature. With a strong interdisciplinary focus, her research delves into themes of memory, identity, and trauma, particularly in post-Holocaust and feminist contexts. She has built a distinguished academic and teaching career spanning London, Kraków, and Lund. She researches now women's writing and identity in works of such authors like of Zenia Marcinkowska Larsson, Chava Rosenfarb, Irena Klepfisz, Wioletta Grzegorzewska.
