Doctoral student in Semitic Languages at Lund University with a background in Peace and Conflict Studies, Arabic and Linguistics. After my undergraduate studies, I spent one and a half years cycling around the world to explore different languages and cultures. Before starting at LU, I worked for five years as a social worker in Malmö.
My research focuses on Syrian Arabic and the social factors that influence how people use language. For my dissertation, I collect data through extensive, semi-structured interviews in Aleppo Arabic to address the demand for more high-quality, reusable datasets in Levantine Arabic other than Damascene Arabic.
In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
