My research focuses on the uses and values ​​of literature. In doing so, I draw on reading studies and ethnographic research designs.

I am PI of the praxis-related research project “Reading engagement and Shared Reading - a collaboration between an upper-secondary school and The Centre for Languages and Literature. Through collaboration with seven teachers of Swedish, we are exploring students’ opportunities to develop ‘reading engagement’ (Cummins 2017) by participating in Shared Reading as part of their Swedish lessons. In the SR approach, reading of short literary texts is done in groups, led by a facilitator, by jointly reading aloud and discussing.

Among others, I collaborate with Region Skåne, introducing Shared Reading in different contexts and training reader facilitators.

In the teacher training program at Lund University, I teach courses on Swedish and comparative literature and on the use of literature in schools. I also supervise degree projects.
