Continuing professional development for teachers

Continuing professional development (CPD) training for teachers in Yiddish or those who want to become teachers in Yiddish, which requires good Yiddish language skills, started in autumn 2022.

Do you lack Yiddish language skills? Apply for the beginner’s course!

All courses are distance learning courses and the language of instruction is English.

If you have completed YIDD10 and YIDD20 or have equivalent qualifications, you can apply for the CPD training for teachers. Contact our study adviser for more information on the assessment process for your qualifications.

The CPD training for teachers consists of 4 courses, each worth 15 credits (basic course I, II and continuation course I, II). Total 60 credits.

All courses are offered at a rate of 50% of full-time study. Joint studies between parts of the CPD training for teachers and the regular range of Yiddish courses (from level 1 up to an including level 3) are being planned.
