The course contains both theoretical and practical elements. The theoretical part presents various methods and models for discourse analysis and discusses their application. The practical part contains analyses of various types of public discourse. Emphasis is placed on discourse of the mass media and politics. Critical evaluation of other course members analyses is included in the course.
