The Danish language system is studied with consideration
given to pronunciation, word classes, morphology, vocabulary and history. A contrastive approach is taken, and Swedish is used as a comparative. Both fiction and non-fiction texts are read and used as a basis for linguistic studies (grammatical analysis, examination of vocabulary etc.).

To be eligible for the course requires the basic eligibility for study at universities and university colleges in Sweden and Swedish B.
