Psycholinguistics deals with the empirical testing of various theories of language production, perception and acquisition. The course offers an introduction to several experimental methods, including reaction time experiments, measurements of neural activity, error analysis and corpus analysis. Various factors affecting language comprehension and production, as well as both first and second language acquisition, are covered. Finally, the course also deals with the application and evaluation of experiments in the field of psycholinguistic, both in theory and in practice (including the practical design and application of a psycholinguistic experiment).
