Course
Course 7.5 credits • FONM11
The point of departure for the course is current phonetic theory within speech production and perception. An important part of the course is the planning and carrying out of phonetic experiments of different kinds. A central ingredient is the design of suitable test material for such experiments. Experiments cover the recording and processing of data within speech physiology as well as in acoustic phonetics in the form of sound spectrograms and pitch contours, and the editing and synthesizing of speech for perceptual testing.
