The course deals with the historical background to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict during the Ottoman rule and the British Mandate focusing on the changes to Palestine and their local impact on political development.
Furthermore the conflict is studied from the point of view of different wars and attempts to solve the conflict.
One focus area is the Oslo process in particular the challenges facing the process and the failure to achieve a sustainable peace between the parties of the conflict
