Students read approximately 30 pages of Arabic newspaper texts on this course. The texts are analysed with particular regard to grammar, vocabulary and practical language proficiency. The course focuses on newspaper texts from Arabic newspapers demanding a vocabulary of 2,000 words. The course offers further active training in the reading of and listening to Arabic in the mass media via radio/television and/or via the internet. The use of Arabic dictionaries is practiced.
