Eligibility: To be admitted to the course, students must have language proficiencies equivalent to 90 credits in at least one of the source languages: Arabic, Danish, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, modern Greek, Russian, Spanish or German, with a total of at least 90 credits of successfully completed courses (which may include credits in the source language, not including beginners' courses) and a Pass on the entrance exam.

Course applicants who satisfy the entry requirements are automatically registered for the entrance exam that takes place in Lund. The written exam consists of three parts: 1) Swedish language proficiency, 2) summary of Swedish text, 3) translation from the source language.

Places on the course are allocated according to the results from the entrance exam.
